Nordic Newcomer’s Day

21. August 9.15 – 18.00 + casual meet up 22. August – seeing a show together 4pm/6pm.

Participants: Nordic artists and producers aspiring to attend EdFringe

Meeting point: tbc

The key purpose with this event is to give you an insight into what kind of festival EdFringe is, what it takes to go there – and how the festival is developing into as a response to a world that is changing a lot. It is an important value to facilitate meeting opportunities between people – therefore we include dedicated time to meet with international/Nordic colleagues.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN
The day will happen all over Edinburgh where you get to see venues and meet programmers/venuedirectors as well as experienced producers. You’ll also attend a stage shift, which most people experience as surprisingly short. It often requires adaptions of your show to fit this. It all begins with a workshop on international collaboration which is hosted by Horizon, a new international showcase of artists based in England. Horizon is delivered by Battersea Arts Centre, Fabric, Fierce, GIFT, MAYK and Transform. Commissioned by Arts Council England.
