A wild, fun and sexy burlesque cabaret that tells the true story of a queer Latinx voice robbed of their freedom and forced into exile during a government coup in South America. Experience first hand a final night of joy and freedom of expression, before the Chilean government regime change challenges the country’s LGBTQIA+ community and robs them of their personal freedom and identity. Witness the last cry of hope from an oppressed community before joining the ranks of those that have been disappeared.

The Disappeared is a multimedia burlesque party that guides you through the personal experience of being queer in South America in the aftermath of Pinochet and Bolsonaro. The performance celebrates the artistic voices that are different, those that are loud and ever-present in political protest and are a threat to political power. Voices that are quickly suppressed and disappeared by authoritarian states, but never forgotten. This performance is a living protest against a slide into the xenophobia of oppressive regimes; a dangerous movement that can also be felt in the contours of Europe.
